Night transport schedules to change as of November 16

Rīgas satiksme informs that on November 16 two routes of night buses will change departure times from terminals in city districts due to the starting winter season.

Schedules of two night bus routes, N2 „Centre – Sarkandaugava – Vecmīlgrāvis” and N3 „Centre – Bolderāja”, will be changed. It is necessary because in bad weather conditions these routes require extra time. It should ne noted, however, that departure times from the city centre will not change: buses will leave the terminal in the city centre as before – in „round” hours. After changes, buses of the two aforementioned routes will leave terminals in city districts (Vecmīlgrāvis and Bolderāja) for the city centre at 00:45; 01:45; 02:45; 03:45; 04:45.

It should be reminded that the company ensures night bus traffic on nine routes in the nights from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday. The terminal of the night routes in the city centre is located at public transport stop Railway Terminal Square/Central Railway Terminal. The night routes are served by yellow midibuses.

Buses of all routes leave the terminal at „Railway Terminal Square”/„Central Railway Terminal” simultaneously – at 24:00; 01:00; 02:00; 03:00; 04:00; 05:00, but terminals at the other ends of night routes – at  00:30; 01:30; 02:30; 03:30; 04:30, and in some routes at 05.30. As mentioned above, in winter season departure times from Vecmīlgrāvis and Bolderāja on routes N2 „Centre – Sarkandaugava – Vecmīlgrāvis” and N3 „Centre – Bolderāja” will be changed due to complicated road conditions.

Departure times between terminals are approximate and depend on passenger flow. Schedules are available at www.rigassatiksme.lv and at terminals of the night routes.

The fare for all passengers is LVL 1.00; tickets are sold by the driver only. Night transport is a commercial service and therefore is not subject to standard transportation tariffs and discounts, except for disabled persons who are entitled to using public transport free of charge under the Disability law.

Night bus drivers stop only at passengers’ request at public transport stops. Passengers get off and into the bus only through the first doors, except for disabled persons in wheelchairs, mothers with baby carriages etc.
